Breath is life!
What is SEKHEM Breathwork?
SEKHEM Breathwork is a form of Holotropic Breathwork is not your average breathwork practice. It is consciousness‑expanding, transformative and deeply healing.
What technique is used in our Breathwork?
During a session you breathe faster for about one hour, reaching an expanded state of consciousness. “Connected” means you eliminate the pauses that normally
occur between inhalation and exhalation; the breaths flow directly into each other, also called circular breathing.
Breathing faster or deeper alters oxygen and CO₂ levels and triggers many bodily processes. This sustained pattern profoundly influences mental, physical, emotional and spiritual aspects. The rational brain is temporarily switched off; you literally breathe out of your head and receive an intense experience that can manifest on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Inner wisdom: your inner guide shows the way
During SEKHEM Breathwork your own inner wisdom is activated and surfaces as you begin to breathe. You may suddenly breathe more, deeper, lighter, or even pause briefly—everything is fine and guided by your inner guide, which will lead you through the process. You simply surrender to it.
Your inner wisdom cannot be forced; your soul knows exactly what you need at that moment. You can set an intention for a session, but there’s no guarantee that the topic will be addressed; much is stored subconsciously. Traumas, suppressed feelings and survival mechanisms are often released, felt, processed and healed during a session.
Working in pairs: “Breathers” and “Watchers”
In SEKHEM Breathwork you always work in pairs. A watcher sits beside you while you lie down breathing; you are the breather. The watcher ensures you stay comfortable and safe throughout the session. Later the roles switch. We monitor the whole process.
The practice uses evocative music that deepens the process.

Effects of SEKHEM Breathwork
The experience is best described as overwhelming and intense. Effects appear on three levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. What you actually feel is always a surprise; no two sessions are alike.
Physical effects – tingling, cramps, shaking, screaming, laughing, crying, shivering, temperature changes, etc.
Emotional effects – memories and emotions surface, ranging from deep sorrow to euphoria; “like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’ll get.”
Spiritual effects – some participants have mystical or unity experiences, hallucinations, or a heightened state of consciousness comparable to LSD, psilocybin mushrooms or ayahuasca. These are not mandatory.
In principle there are no risks if the process is completed fully and safely under proper guidance. It is not recommended for certain psychiatric conditions such as susceptibility to psychosis, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, glaucoma, and pregnancy. Other conditions (asthma, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease) may be possible with careful medical consultation.
This practise is part of the second day in our SEKHEM ALL LOVE Classes, but we also offer this SEKHEM breathing as a separate standalone class.
If you follow the rules, youĺl have a wonderful experience!
